Ask a simple question

What military equipment is this?

Sentinel is designed for users who need a fast, structured starting point without already knowing the correct search terms.

Likely identification

Return the most likely platform, equipment family or commonly recognised variant supported by visible evidence.

Confidence and alternatives

Show a High, Medium or Low confidence rating and up to three plausible alternatives when the image is unclear.

Explainable cues

Describe visible features such as hull shape, wheel layout, turret design, wing configuration or weapon placement.

Upload, inspect and review

Make uncertainty visible instead of hiding it

Sentinel analyses the submitted image, identifies observable items and presents a structured assessment alongside reference information.

Where the evidence is insufficient for a firm result, the system reports the uncertainty and can suggest how the user might capture or crop a more useful image.

  • Photograph and screenshot input
  • Platform or equipment-family assessment
  • High, Medium or Low confidence band
  • Alternative matches where appropriate
  • Recognition cues and reference material
  • Correct, Wrong or Unsure feedback

Operational workflow

A transparent recognition workflow

1. Upload

Submit an image or screenshot without needing to supply a search term.

2. Inspect

Review detected items and select the relevant object where more than one is present.

3. Assess

Examine the likely match, confidence, alternatives and visual cues.

4. Review

Compare reference material and provide feedback on the result.

Defined use and safeguards

Equipment recognition—not targeting or tactical analysis

Sentinel is intended for education and entertainment, including researchers, journalists, historians, educators, students, enthusiasts, gamers and model makers.

It supports recognition and learning. It does not provide targeting guidance, tactical advice or operational analysis, and users should not treat a beta identification as authoritative evidence without independent verification.

Review the evidence approach

Try Sentinel with representative images

Provide a small, non-sensitive image set and the user groups you want to support. We will demonstrate the beta workflow and discuss evaluation criteria.
